The Group has interests in three joint ventures and associate companies, working closely with like minded people to develop business in Growth markets which are separate to our core business but which bring additional synergistic benefits to the Group. Young’s Animal Feeds Limited The business manufactures and distributes equine, pet and wild bird foods, It customers are mainly pet shops and equine sales outlets. The business is based in Staffordshire with distribution units in Merseyside and Cheshire.

Welsh Feed Producers Limited
This business manufactures ruminant animal feeds from its mill at Carmarthen, Dyfed.

OTHER ACTIVITIES & INTERESTS

Foxmoor
Foxmoor is a large-scale producer of potted plants and shrubs operating from four sites based in the South West. Its target market is multiple retailers, garden centres and other horticultural outlets. Sales continue to grow rapidly; the fourth site was leased in 2006. Also a new venture to sell plants and garden accessories in conjunction with the Ideal Shopping TV Channel, was launched in Autumn 2006.

The Glasson Group
The Glasson Group was acquired in August 2006 and complements all of our three major divisions. Based nearLancaster in the North West, Glasson acts as a shipper and trader of raw materials and operates its own port facilities at Glasson Dock. Owning shipping facilities gives a degree of independence in the procurement of raw materials for both the feed business and fertiliser production. In addition, it produces specilaity ingredients for the pet food industry, and a ranges of prodcust ude in rations for young livestock.

ASSOCIATE COMPANIES

Wynnstay Fuels Limited
The Group holds a 40% interest in this business which distributes agricultural, commercial and domestic fuel oils.

Bibby Agriculture Ltd
The Group holds a 25% equity interest in Bibby Agriculture, a new venture established in October 2005 which manufactures and distributes animal feed in Wales and Border counties.
