- Wynnlix range of salt blocks

Wynnlix range of salt blocks

We have recently introduced a range of mineralised salt blocks to our portfolio of supplement products. Individually shrink wrapped in 10kg round blocks with a central hole there are 3 main versions,
  • Wynnlix Standard
  • Wynnlix plus copper
  • Wynnlix + bicarb with added sodium bicarbonate

Ruminant Product Manager, Steve Brown says ‘Ruminants generally eat a relatively acid diet and try to buffer this with their saliva, salt encourages saliva production and therefore help this buffering.’ He adds ‘As Wynnlix also contain a full range of trace elements they help improve the overall health status of the animal as well.’

Salt has long been recognised as beneficial but in Wynnlix form it provides a practical cost effective means of supplying it to your animals. With many animals now out at grass a general deficiency of trace elements is quite normal.

Added trace elements in Wynnlix ensure these deficiencies are minimised.

In winter when animals are on silage based rations again Wynnlix will ensure good intakes are achieved by helping to buffer the high acid levels present in silage. Equally the trace element package will help maintain growth and production.
