feeds / dairy:

Wynnstay boast an extensive range of dairy feeds and supplements to suit all systems and performance levels.

Compound feeds and blends are formulated using Feed Into Milk technology.

All feeds and supplements are supported by a team of highly respected sales staff and technical advisors who will work with you to balance or supplement your forages to determine the best feed or blend for your specific herd requirements

PRE-CALVING - invest to earn:

At drying off, the goal is to maintain a healthy rumen with a bulky forage ration. This may help reduce disorders around calving and ease the transition to a lactating program. To meet all criteria, a correct amount of energy, protein, vitamins, minerals and forage must be fed. Intake is also important because frequently there is a loss of appetite as calving time nears.

Prepare ® Nuts - designed to be fed from 3-4 weeks pre-calving:

To view full details of how the Prepare ® program approaches dry cow nutrition please click here.

Dry Tec-L nuts & nuggets – designed to be fed from 21 days pre-calving:

Containing high levels of DUP to enable higher milk protein levels in lactation, lactose to encourage good rumen papillae growth and a double Healthcare supplement pack to optimise health and fertility before, at and post-calving. A balanced concentrate to ensure your cows and heifers get the very best start. Feed 2-3kgs from 21 days pre to calving.

LACTATION:

Wynnstay’s dairy feed range has balanced formulations of starches, sugars, digestible fibre, oils & fats and minerals, vitamins & trace elements, optimising milk production and health & fertility. A complete range of compound feeds from 16% to 40% protein. Feeds formulated for specific markets such as cheese production or butterfat production.

All Wynnstay dairy feeds contain the following:

Total Copper Management - a “tri-copper” approach using copper metalosate, carbonate and sulphate to overcome antagonists such as iron and molybdenum. Acts as a “spark plug” for bulling and improves fertility and feed utilisation.

Healthcare supplement - zinc methionate, extra selenium and vitamin E to aid the cow’s own natural defence system and immune function. Improves udder health including promoting teat end closure. Improved hoof health.

Designed following extensive research and development work and is formulated and manufactured using the latest Feed Into Milk technology.
