feeds / beef:
beef

Whatever type of beef system you have, Wynnstay has the right nutrition products for you, whether that be suckled calf production, semi-intensive or intensive beef production.

Wynnstay have been long associated with producing quality beef feeds and have many satisfied customers, some of whom regularly win fatstock competitions and top local markets.

Close relationships have been built with many universities and colleges, including Harper Adams University College*, University Of Wales at Aberystwyth and Coleg Powys, Newtown and numerous farm trials have been conducted to develop a number of beef finishing blueprints.

* High vs Low StarchBeef Trial.
One of these in particular has led to a partnership with The Welsh Meat Company which enables calves from dairy herds to be reared and finished at specialist units using a specific feeding & management program.

This guarantees the dairy farmer a market and a fair price for his calves, the rearer and finisher a consistent supply of quality calves with a guaranteed margin at the end and the meat buyer a quality, consistent, traceable product time after time. More partnerships in the food chain are developing.

To meet the demands of supermarkets, many meat buyers demand that beef animals be fed non-GM ingredients at least in the last few weeks before slaughter. Wynnstay have a number of compound and blended feeds that do not contain any GM ingredients and hence meet all the strict criteria needed to obtain maximum carcase value.

All our beef feeds and supplements are supported by a dedicated team of specialists who have access to the latest beef rationing software, FeedPro Beef - get in touch if you would like a ration formulating for your stock.
